How do I use internet in Japan?

While there are free WiFi hotspots throughout most large cities in Japan, the connection tends to be extremely slow and unreliable. Using data by roaming through your home country’s phone internet provider is often very expensive. The cheapest solution is often to rent a pocket WiFi or get a travel SIM where you can be connected to the internet through your phone or laptop for as little as 329 JPY/day.

How can I book a JR pass?

You can book a JR pass online. Please note that you can only buy a JR pass before you enter Japan.

How do I make a reservation?

You have two options:
1) Book via our website (click on a tour and click the green “Book now!” button).
2) Send us an email.

The following costs are NOT included: transportation for yourself and your guide, meals for yourself, and admission fees for yourself and your guide. Please pay those costs on the spot on the day of the tour. For more information, see prices. Please note that for tours outside Tokyo, the extra transportation costs for your guide are also not included in the tour price, and have to be paid separately on the day of the tour.

What language(s) do you use to conduct the tour?
Most of our guides are fluent in both English and Dutch, and we can also speak Japanese. Depending on tour guide availability we also have tours in a few other European languages available, please inquire at nicki@tokiotours.com.

I would like to do something special which is not covered in the tours you offer. Do you offer custom made tours?
