We took a 6 hour tour with Stefanie, for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 11 years old). Since she’s a native Dutch speaker (besides speaking Japanese), our kids were able to follow the proceedings, and were able to ask questions without us needing to translate. Something they very much appreciated.

And besides that, Stefanie as a guide was very knowledgeable, flexible when appropriate, and fun to be with. We’ve been shown some old as well as some new Tokyo. The kids really enjoyed the visit to the Japanese arcade hall (highly recommended), and the lunch at a popular kaiten sushi place was fun as well. We got to see some things we definitely wouldn’t have found on our own, besides some of the highlights, like Shibuya crossing and Meiji Shrine. Stefanie’s insights into Japanese society and culture were interesting as well.

All in all, it’s a day we look back on with great pleasure, and we can definitely recommend the use of Tokiotours if you plan on visiting Japan.
